Are dental implants painful? What is the procedure like?
The implant placement procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is virtually pain-free during the surgery. You may experience mild soreness for 2–3 days afterward, which is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief. At Pearl Care, our implantologist Dr. Dhiraj Wagh uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to reduce post-operative discomfort and speed up healing. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.
What is the cost of dental implants in Pune?
The cost of a single dental implant in Pune typically ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹60,000 depending on the implant brand, bone condition, and the type of crown used. At Pearl Care we use BIS-certified Grade IV titanium implants with ceramic crowns and provide a detailed, transparent treatment estimate before any procedure begins — no hidden charges. We also offer structured payment plans to help you plan your treatment without financial stress. Book a free consultation to receive your personalised cost estimate.
Should I choose a dental implant or a dental bridge?
Both are valid solutions, but they work differently. A dental bridge is faster and less invasive upfront — it typically takes 2 visits and doesn't require surgery. However, it requires grinding down the two healthy teeth on either side to act as anchors. A dental implant leaves adjacent teeth completely intact, stimulates the jawbone to prevent bone loss, and has a lifespan of 20+ years with proper care. For most patients with good bone density, an implant is the more conservative, long-term investment. Our team will discuss both options honestly at your consultation.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most healthy adults with a missing tooth or teeth are candidates for dental implants. The key requirements are: adequate jawbone density to anchor the implant, healthy gums, and no uncontrolled systemic conditions like unmanaged diabetes. If you've experienced bone loss after a long-standing extraction, a bone graft can often rebuild the site before implant placement — we offer this in-clinic. We assess candidacy using a digital OPG X-ray at your first appointment, which takes less than 5 minutes. Patients from Punawale, Wakad, Hinjewadi, and Tathawade are welcome to book a free implant consultation.
